Solution:
If your FontLab Studio or TypeTool user interfaces have become corrupt (missing or mislabeled menus, windows, panels or icons), you will need to reset them. This procedure describes how.
Note: you will need to re-enter your product’s serial number after this procedure! Be sure you know the serial number before you do this.
For FontLab Studio on Mac OS X
Quit FontLab Studio for Mac OS X.
In Finder, from the Go menu choose Go to Folder...
Type ~/Library and click Go
Navigate to the folder Application Support/FontLab/Studio 5/Workspaces/
Remove the files CurrentWorkspace.rc and CurrentWorkspace51.rc (if they exist)
In Finder, from the Go menu choose Go to Folder...
Type ~/Library and click Go
Navigate to the folder Preferences/
Remove the files com.fontlab.fontlab5.plist and com.fontlab.studio5.plist (if they exist)
Run FontLab Studio and re-enter your serial number. The user interface of FontLab Studio will be now in its default state.
